About the map presentation, showing the distribution of wolves (Canis lupus) in Finland. Does the distribution actually mean "the extent of occurrence" or "the area of occupancy"? If it is the EOO, the map is quite sufficient, but in other case, it seems that map data covers every single observation of TASSU (paws) database (meaning every single random wolf obeserved). So the data seems to contain every observation instead of describing confirmed territories and packs.
The article 17 guidance document page 25: "The distribution map should provide information about the actual occurrences of the species, which should preferably be based on the results of a comprehensive national mapping or inventory of the species wherever possible". If the mab should provide information about the actual occurence, the data should be checked. It is not similar to the previous estimates, but gives a falce idea of the occurence of wolves in Finland.
